The Scotch-Brite is impregnated with abrasive minerals to create a flexible, three dimensional product.
The open structure of the Scotch-Brite reduces the risk of wrinkling or dicsoloration of the workpiece, and it also prevents filling of the abrasive material. This results in a better finish and the product has a longer usefull life.
